(Cert) Promoting Independence

This one-day course will describe ways in which individuals’ independence can be affected by mental health problems. Participants will be able to look at ways of promoting independence, accessing services and support to enable people to gain or regain the independence. (Networking skills).

 

Target audience:

Priority given to unqualified staff from Health and Social Services as well as staff from a wide range of statutory, voluntary and private agencies. It will also be appropriate for staff who are qualified but have little experience working with people with mental health problems.

 

This course provides the teaching input (for Unit 7) for people undertaking the Certificate in Community Mental Health Care.
