This one-day course will enable participants to
understand the value and importance for quality of care of
effective team and integrated working, effective
communication, recording and information exchange. It will
describe how the different agencies and members of mental
health teams relate to each other, look at some of the
barriers to co-operation, and explore key issues in relation
to support, stress, safety and satisfaction within the
participants work role. Target audience:
Priority given to unqualified staff from Health and Social
Services as well as staff from a wide range of statutory,
voluntary and private agencies. It will also be appropriate
for staff who are qualified but have little experience
working with people with mental health problems.
This course provides the teaching input (for Unit 10) for
people undertaking the Certificate in Community Mental
