This one-day course will help participants to promote the
rights of people with mental health problems. It gives an
overview of Advocacy and explores the limits and boundaries
of workers roles and support needs within a
multi-disciplinary team framework. Target
audience: Priority given to unqualified staff from
Health and Social Services as well as staff from a wide
range of statutory, voluntary and private agencies. It will
also be appropriate for staff who are qualified but have
little experience working with people with mental health
problems. This course provides the teaching input
(for Unit 3) for people undertaking the Certificate in
Community Mental Health Care. Course
