This two-day course is arranged for the benefit
of staff in preparation for retirement, including early
retirement. It will provide information on a
variety of topics which are considered both helpful and
useful in preparing for retirement. The course is
structured around lectures/talks, demonstrations and open
discussion on a broad range of topics, such as pensions and
pensioners rights, financial investment, local library and
leisure services, health and home security. The
speakers are chosen for their expertise in their subject as
well as their interest and willingness to offer their
services. Some provide their session entirely voluntarily
and others as part of their professional role.
