ECDL - Instructor-led option

The table below shows which IT Training courses at Collingwood House relate to the seven ECDL Modules

ECDL Module

Course Title(s)

1. Basic Concepts of IT Self-study booklet
2. Using the computer & managing files Windows & File Management
3. Word processing Basic Word 2002, then Intermediate Word 2002 then Advanced Word 2002.
4. Spreadsheets Excel 2002 Basic then Excel 2002 Intermediate
5. Databases Access 2002
6. Presentation PowerPoint 2002
7. Information & Communication Outlook 2002 E-Mail and Internet Explorer

Complete novices should attend the Absolute Beginners course beforehand.

Less confident computer users should attend the Getting Started course.

Before you can do a module test you have to enrol for the ECDL, which you can do at Collingwood House.

Having attended the relevant courses, you would then do a practice test and then, if all was well, the actual module test, all at Collingwood House.

However, places on the courses at Collingwood House are limited, so it may be more convenient and quicker for you to use the On-line learning option.
