Getting Started
This course is designed for people who can use a computer
mouse and keyboard but require a very basic computer course.
The aim of the course is to give people the skills needed to
access to on-line ECDL learning materials, but is suitable
for anyone who wants to learn the basics of using a PC.
People who have never used a computer before should go on
the Absolute Beginners course.

General
Identify the main components of a PC (keyboard, monitor,
ON/OFF switch, mouse etc.)
Switch on (and log on where appropriate)
Close down Windows and the PC
Use logon password to maintain security

Understand basics of "My Computer" (in particular accessing
disk drives)
