A two-day* course with a follow-up day three
months later to develop an understanding
of the function and nature of challenging behaviour and
strategies in working with individuals with learning
disabilities. The course is open to candidates
from the Partnership Trust, the three PCTs, Gloucestershire
Social Services, private and voluntary services. Please

26-28/01/05 is a 3 day course) Meets knowledge
requirements of LDAF Optional Units:
Level 2
- 026 - Contribute to the management of challenging
behaviour
Level 3
- 115 - Manage challenging behaviours
- 128 - Respond to service users who self-harm
Shares knowledge requirements with NVQ Units &
National Occupational Standards: C5; C7; CL1; CL2;
CL5; CL6; CL7; NC11; O1; Z1; Z8 Course
