Working with People with Challenging Behaviour

Time: 9.15 am - 4.30 pm

26th to 28th January

 

19 & 20 July, with follow-up day on 20 October

Venue: Collingwood House, Gloucester

 

A two-day* course with a follow-up day three months later to develop an understanding of the function and nature of challenging behaviour and strategies in working with individuals with learning disabilities.

 

The course is open to candidates from the Partnership Trust, the three PCTs, Gloucestershire Social Services, private and voluntary services. Please enquire about course fees for private and voluntary services.

 

(* 26-28/01/05 is a 3 day course)

 

Meets knowledge requirements of LDAF Optional Units:

 

Level 2

  • 026 - Contribute to the management of challenging behaviour

Level 3

  • 115 - Manage challenging behaviours
  • 128 - Respond to service users who self-harm

Shares knowledge requirements with NVQ Units & National Occupational Standards:

C5; C7; CL1; CL2; CL5; CL6; CL7; NC11; O1; Z1; Z8
