A five-day course to develop the knowledge and
skills required to assess and define the needs of people
with associated physical and sensory disabilities and to
enhance the quality of life for people with profound and
multiple disabilities. The course includes a one-day Eating
& Drinking workshop and a day's Intensive Interaction
training. The course is open to
candidates from the Partnership Trust, the three PCTs,
Gloucestershire Social Services, private and voluntary
services. Course fees for private and voluntary services are
detailed at the back of this directory. Meets
knowledge requirements of LDAF Optional Units:
- Level 2:
014 - Promote service user participation in
community life 025 - Contribute to service users’
learning
- Levels 2 & 3 (all double Units):
032 - Provide
support with personal care 033 - Help service user to
manage continence 034 - Help service user to achieve
physical comfort
