This new two-day course meets the knowledge
requirements of Mandatory Units for LDAF at both Levels 2
and 3. The course enables candidates to contribute to
protection from abuse by focusing on how to recognise
perpetrator behaviour & attitudes and their effect on
victims of abuse. It considers the basic needs of human
beings and how these relate to neglect, and identifies the
candidates’ own role (within inter-agency policy &
procedures) in relation to disclosure, investigation and the
aftermath of abuse. The course is open to
candidates from the Partnership Trust, the three PCTs,
Gloucestershire Social Services, private and voluntary
services. Course fees for private and voluntary services are
detailed at the back of this directory. Meets
knowledge requirements of LDAF Mandatory Units:
- Level 2: 009 - Contribute to protection from abuse
- Level 3: 106 - Protect from abuse
Shares knowledge requirements with NVQ Units &
Occupational Standards:
- Level 2: Z1; Z8
