Personal Relationships & Sexuality for People with Learning Disabilities

Venue: Collingwood House, Gloucester

 

A three-day course to examine personal, organisational and societal values and practices regarding sexuality and relationships and the effect of these on the lives of people with a learning disability. To develop knowledge and confidence to work with people with learning disabilities, in understanding their own sexuality and in developing rewarding relationships.

 

The course is open to candidates from the Partnership Trust, the three PCTs, Gloucestershire Social Services, private and voluntary services. Course fees for private and voluntary services are detailed at the back of this directory.

 

Meets knowledge requirements of LDAF Optional Units:

  • Level 2:

    017 - Understand sexual expression

    039 - Contribute to the management of sexual health

  • Level 3:

    122 - Understand and support sexual expression

    134 - Help service user to understand and maintain sexual health

Shares knowledge requirements with NVQ Units & Occupational Standards:

W1; W5
