Introduction to Palliative Care

Caring for the Dying

 

A two day course for Community based nursing auxiliaries and care assistants.

 

Dates and venues for next course to be advised.

 

 

To explore:

  • What is palliative care?
  • Who is involved?
  • What are the difficulties and challenges?

Topics include:

  • Communication
  • Nutrition
  • Understanding pain and associated symptoms
  • Family dynamics and bereavement

The course is free. Refreshments and lunch will be included.
