Basic Urinary Assessment Study Day

 

Dates, Times & Venues: 2003:

 

Mon 22 September, at Redwood House, Gloucester Royal, 9.30 am - 1.00 pm.

 

Weds 8 October, at Stroud Hosp Post-Grad Centre, 9.30 am - 4.30 pm

 

 

This study day is ideal for any member of the multidisciplinary team who deals with patients / clients who have a problem with continence.

 

The aim of the day is to provide the learner with the knowledge, skill and attitude that will enable them to carry out an accurate continence assessment

 

 

Topics include:

  • Attitudes to incontinence
  • Types, causes and treatments for urinary incontinence
  • The introduction of care pathways for urinary incontinence
  • Reassessment training for unqualified staff
  • The role of medication in the cause of and treatment of faecal incontinence
