An Introduction to Caring for People With Eating Disorders

Time: 9.30 am - 4.30 pm

This one-day workshop for clinical staff of any discipline will offer the opportunity to develop an understanding of Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa and typical eating disorders.

 

The day will include an overview of the causes and maintaining factors, the psychological, physical and social effects and current treatment approaches. There will also be a chance to explore your own attitudes and feelings towards people with eating disorders.

 

The day is open to any member of staff and will involve both formal teaching and small group work.
