Supporting People with Learning Disabilities Through Change, Loss & Bereavement

A three-day course to enhance staff skills in supporting people with learning disabilities with experiences of change, loss and bereavement.

 

N.B. This course is NOT appropriate for those who have suffered recent bereavement or loss.

 

The course is open to candidates from the Partnership Trust, the three PCTs, Gloucestershire Social Services, private and voluntary services. Course fees for private and voluntary services are detailed at the back of this directory.

 

Meets knowledge requirements of LDAF Optional Units:

  • Level 2:

    020 - Understand change and transitions

    042 - Contribute to the provision of palliative care

  • Level 3:

    121 - Manage change and transitions

    129 - Support service users to manage loss and change

    137 - Provide palliative care

Shares knowledge requirement with NVQ Units & Occupational Standards:

CU10; NC1; NC2; NC3; SC14; W3; Z8
