Certificate in Managing Health and Social Care

 

 

A twelve-month distance learning programme designed to meet the needs of those in a service management role, or being developed for such a role.

 

The aim of this course is to develop management competence to a higher level than is possible in the Foundation Management Programme. Successful completion of the course will offer the opportunity to develop skills and knowledge in managing yourself and your job, managing people, managing in your organisation, and managing in the external environment.

 

The course is accredited by the Institute of Healthcare Management (IHM). Participants who successfully complete the programme will receive a Certificate in Health and Social Care Management.

 

The programme is based on a Distance Learning Resource pack including work books and video/audio materials. Learning is supported by a series of tutor-led workshops, peer support groups and mentoring. Assessment is by written work-based assignments and written examination.
