Corporate Induction

Number of Places: 15
Venues and Dates: See table below.
Time: 9.30 am - 12.30 pm

This half-day Corporate Induction Programme has been designed to complement local departmental and Service induction programmes and aims to introduce new entrants to the Gloucestershire Community NHS.

The programme runs once a week and Managers must ensure that all new staff attend a session as soon as possible.  There will be no prior enrolment onto these sessions; all those who attend will be asked to complete a registration form.  They will be asked for information including place of work, telephone number, name of Manager and their telephone number.  Training records are identified by individual National Insurance number and Managers are asked to ensure staff are aware of the need to bring this information with them when they attend the half-day workshop.

The Corporate half-day provides staff with the opportunity to meet fellow colleagues and learn about the NHS in Gloucestershire.  It will also introduce staff to initiatives such as Improving Working Lives, Staff Appraisal and the concept of lifelong learning.  A workbook will provide key elements of mandatory and statutory training, including Health & Safety, Fire Safety, Emergency Awareness, Infection Control and Back Care.
